
Sahdaish Pall BEM is the Founder and Director of Kaur Lab UK CIC and a nationally recognised leader in the violence against women and girls (VAWG) sector, with over 30 years of experience across frontline practice, research, policy influence and community-led systems change. She is widely known for her pioneering work supporting marginalised women affected by abuse and harmful practices. Sahdaish’s leadership is rooted in survivor-centred, by-and-for approaches that challenge structural inequality and amplify underrepresented voices. Her work spans local, regional and national platforms.

Sahdaish Pall was awarded the British Empire Medal in the 2020 New Year Honours in recognition of her outstanding services to victims of domestic abuse. This honour reflects over three decades of dedication to supporting women experiencing violence, influencing national policy, and developing specialist responses to hidden and emerging harms. The award acknowledges her leadership in establishing survivor-led services, advancing research, and strengthening protections for marginalised communities across the UK.
Sahdaish is the co-founder and former CEO of Sikh Women’s Aid, the UK’s first specialist Sikh women’s domestic abuse charity, which achieved national recognition under her leadership for crisis intervention, research and advocacy. She is a leading authority on hidden harms including caste-based abuse, honour-based abuse, forced and transnational marriage abandonment, and faith-based abuse within Sikh and South Asian communities. Her research has directly informed national policy, funding frameworks and professional practice. Alongside her sector leadership, she serves as an elected Councillor in Sandwell and sits on the West Midlands Regional Race Equity Taskforce. Through Kaur Lab UK CIC, she integrates research, education and community-led practice to deliver lasting, survivor-centred change.
